Cassette players

The Compact Cassette system was launched by the Philips company in 1963 and has been used until today. It was meant to be a more convenient alternative to portable reel-to-reel recorders, high sound quality was initially not demanded because of its narrow tape and slow tape speed. Later, some companies managed to create high quality cassette recorders. The first Tesla cassette players were manufactured in 1968. Here you can see the devices of the 1980s.
