Electric generator

By rotating the crank, a small direct current generator (a dynamo) converts kinetic energy to electricity. The current supplies the motor of the fan. The voltage and current are shown on the measuring instruments. The current meter comes from an E 499.0 electric locomotive. In this circuit, the actual value of the current is one thousandth of the value shown by the meter. The output power of the dynamo is equal to the multiple of the voltage and current.
