Tesla 308U Talisman

The last and the most known type of the Talisman series, whose production started in the Telegrafia company in 1946. The 308U was manufactured in Bratislava and later the production moved to the new Tesla Orava factory. The new workers, who would later produce TV receivers, gained experience on the 308U. More than million were made, although the receiver was seriously outdated in the later years of its production. It was also exported to numerous countries, it is probably the internationally best known Tesla product. The 309U export version is equipped with two UY1N tubes connected as a voltage doubler for 120V mains.
