Description:

This radio was made at the beginning of the 1960s, but its design belongs to the 1950s. It uses a magic eye tube, a tone register, a ferrite antenna and a modern compound tube ECL82, however this tube was more suitable for a TV receiver than for a radio. Also a selenium rectifier was used instead of a vacuum rectifier, but it was probably not delivered in sufficient numbers, so 8000 Gavotas were manufactured with an EZ80 tube instead of the rectifier. Some series use a long narrow loudspeaker called "the pushbroom". These can be recognized by a different position of the magic eye tube.
