Description: |
One of many similar types of black-and-white TV receivers of Orava origin. It uses printed circuit boards, the design is quite simple but reliable. The diagonal of the picture tube is 47 cm. The picture tube did not have an implosion protection, so a glass shield had to be placed in front of it. The reason was that if the tube broke, the heavy glass fragments would be accelerated by the vacuum inside and would be flying around at high speeds. Newer types of picture tubes were constructed in a way that ensured that the glass pieces would be contained inside the receiver. |
