Description:

Console TV receiver with 43 cm picture diagonal. It is based on the 4108U Azurit type which is nearly identical, only the speaker has its own separate cabinet. These receivers still use a classic metal chassis, but have modern picture tubes with 110° deflection angle and so are not as deep as the older types. The radio frequency part is of very good quality and the receivers have perfect sensitivity and sharp image. The design is based on the 4106U Ametyst type, manufactured in Prague-Strašnice, and 4211U Lotos made in Pardubice. However, the receivers produced in Orava contained some design errors in the line output stage that caused high susceptibility to failure. The receivers had to be modified in repair shops.
