The first all-transistor Tesla tape recorder. Quarter-track, speed 2,38, 4,75 or 9,53 cm/s. Frequency response up to 16 000 Hz at 9,53 cm/s. It uses an entirely new chassis with a cast light-alloy frame. The mechanics enables electric remote control of pause and is more gentle to the tape than the older types. The recorder provides loud listening to the recorded signal, a trick record (recording without erasing) and stereo playback with the AZZ941 auxiliary preamplifier connected. The cabinet was made in various colors, black is the most common. This tape recorder started a series of various other types manufactured until 1974. Thanks to their high quality mechanics, these tape recorders are considered to be the best of all Tesla tape recorders.
