Description:

The Rytmus is one of the very first Tesla products that were not acquired from the nationalised companies, but of original in-house design. Components of all available origin were used, some of the radios use a Swiss electrolytic capacitor. However, it is clearly visible that it was designed by the same people who have worked in the factory when it was still a Philips subsidiary. Basically, it was a modified "dwarf" radio, such as a Talisman or 208U-45, in a larger cabinet. Unfortunately, the output stage corresponded to this and the quality of sound was not very good. Only a simple tone control switch was added. Rytmus was the first of many types with a very similar chassis and various wooden or bakelite cabinets, made in Hloubětín or Bratislava. The last type, 422U, was manufactured until 1956.
