Description:

The 845A Beseda is a direct successor of the Philips 845A Pastorale, manufactured in 1941/42 and sold as Philips Muráň in the Slovak Republic. That's why it uses the Philips numbering system despite the fact that Tesla began using it regularly once again only several years later. The chassis is almost the same as in Pastorale, only two ECH4 tubes are used instead of the original ECH3 and ECH4. The design of the cabinet was modernized. Beseda was one of the best-equipped radios on the market. It uses a tilting dial, magic eye tube, an input band pass filter and a complicated feedback circuit in the power stage, which ensures a very good sound, which was a trademark of the Philips radios.
